Q. How many LEDs in the 1200mm tube?
A. There are 276 LEDs.
Q. What colour temperatures do the tubes come in?
A. The tubes come in warm white (3,500k), cool white (4,500k) and daylight (6,500k).
Q. What size tubes can you get?
A. The tubes come in lengths, 600mm, 1200mm and 1500mm.
Q. Is the LED Tube™ available in T5?
A. Yes it is available in T5.
Q. Are the LED Tubes™ as bright as normal fluorescent tubes?
A. The LED Tubes™ are up to 90% as bright as a traditional tube.
Q. Have the tubes been tested for quality in Australia.
A. Yes the tubes have been tested by NATA and MTI and are CE and UL approved.
Q. Do you need a starter and or ballast to operate the tubes.
A. No you don't need a starter or ballast to operate the tubes.
Q. How much power do they save compared to a traditional fluorescent tube?
A. A 36watt 1200mm tube with a ballast runs at about 48watts compared with the LED Tube™ which runs at about 15watts. So they save up to 70%.
Q. Do the LED Tubes™ have any flicker or Ultra Violet rays?
A. No the LED Tubes™ have no UV or flicker.
Q. Can the LED Tubes™ be dimmed?
A. Yes the LED Tubes™ can be dimmed on a standard dimmer.
Q. How long will the tubes last?
A. The tubes will last up to 10 years and or 100,000 hours compared to a standard fluorescent at about 8,000 hours.
Q. Do I need an electrician to install them?
A. No you don't if you just take out the starter, then the LED Tube™ will work. You can save more power by bypassing the ballast, for that you will need a qualified electrician.
Q. Why are they not that common?
A. The LED Tube™ is a relatively new product so they are not yet common place.
Q. If one LED fails, will they all fail?
A. If, in the unlikely event, one of the LEDs should fail the rest will still work.
Q. How long will delivery take if I order one.
A. If the delivery is within Australia, you will usually receive your order the following business day.
